Abstract
PURPOSE: To stably maintain the wire drawing work and the quality of the drawn wire through the suitable management for dies, by detecting the drawing force while the wire drawing work, with the load cell arranged on the backside of dies, and by exchanging the dies when above drawing force reaches a specified value.
CONSTITUTION: The load cell 2 detects the strain stress of the dies 1 while the drawing material 3 is being drawn. This output is amplified by the instrumental amplifier 4, whose output WX is utilized in measurement of the drawing force. Hereupon, the output WL corresponding to the lowest drawing force obtained when the dies hole expands to the diameter of the allowable upper limit, and the output WU corresponding to the highest drawing force obtained when the drawing force increases due to the roughing of the dies, are set in the upper and lower limit setter 6; and then, the output WX of the amplifier 4 is compared with the upper and lower limit output signals WU, WL, of the setter 6, by the comparative discrimination circuit 5. When the amplifier's output WX reaches the upper or lower limit signals WU, WL, the dies are exchanged. The time of exchange of dies is instructed by the alarm circuit 7.
