Abstract

PURPOSE: To check cracks in a layer of resin impregnated into the winding end by supporting thereof through a means in which a porous insulating material is wound around a ground insulator at a given pitch.
CONSTITUTION: A porous insulating material 4 is wound around a ground insulator 3 at a space D with a given pitch. The product thus obtained is wound around a core clamping device 2 and impregnated with resin after the winding end 5 is fixed thereon with a binder. With such an arrangement, because of a space d provided for the porous insulating material,,contraction of the resin caused as it is solidified being cooled down can be absorbed thereby preventing cracks in the resin layer. The space d can also serve as a passage of the cool air to enhance the cooling effect.
