Abstract

PURPOSE: To lighten this magnetic clutch, and to reduce cost, by producing a pulley portion in an aluminum alloy while integrally fastening the pulley portion to a rotor portion, to which end surface a friction surface is formed.
CONSTITUTION: A clutch pulley 8 manufactured by integrally forming a rotor portion 8a, to which inside a U-shaped section portion 9 is formed, and a pulley portion 8b, which shapes belt grooves 10 for stretching V-belts on an outer circumference of the rotor portion 8a, by means of aluminum die casting is supported onto an outside race 7a of a ball bearing 7 in a revolution-free shape. An exciting coil 11 is internally wrapped in a viod of the U-shaped section portion 9 of the rotor portion 8a while one end of a fixed plate 12 fixed to an end surface is fastened to a main body of a device 2 to be driven, and a core 14 is disposed in a concentric circle shape with other rotary parts. Since such a clutch rotor 8 is supported onto the outside race 7a of the ball bearing 7, the clutch rotor can be lightened without reducing the sectional area of a portion that forms a magnetic circuit.
