Abstract

PURPOSE: To shorten the time of manufacturing work and automatically do the work, by winding an insulator tape coated with a thermosetting resin except for both the ends so that the tape is located between the winding layers of a coil conductor and the side edges of the tapes are overlapped with each other.
CONSTITUTION: The coil conductor 8 is wound on an inner insulator 7 in the direction of the arrow from a starting part 81. At the same time, the insulator tape 9 coated with the thermosetting resin except for both the ends is wound from a starting part 91 and an end filler 10a is stacked. When the conductor 8 is advanced to a position 8n1 after it is wound at n1 times, the formation of the end filler 10a by the insulator tape 9 is finished. Then, the conductor 8 is wound at n times to a position 8n and the insulator tape 9 is wound on the wound conductor 8n to form an inter- layer insulator 11a and finish winding the conductor 8 for a first layer. The same process is repeated, thereby manufacturing a multi-wound coil. The manufacturing time is short and the automatic manufacture of the coil can be easily effected.
