Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the floating loss of a rotary electric machine and to prevent the machine from heating by mounting a conductive metal plate integrated electrically with the inside surface of the frame and bearing bracket of a stator iron core end to thereby shield the leaked magnetic flux.
CONSTITUTION: Electrically integrated metal shield plates 13 are continuously mounted at the inside surface of the frame 5 and bearing bracket 6 of the end of the stator iron core 2. Conductive metal plates 13a electrically connected to the right and left shields of a windshield plate 11 are provided at several positions of a circumference. The bearing portion of the shields is integrally coated with the same metal plates 13b as the plates 13a. Thus, it can shield the leaked magnetic flux due to the end armature coil 7 to reduce the floating loss and to prevent the machine from overheating.
