Abstract

The winding comprises an annular magnetic core made up from iron laminations onto which is wound an a.c. coil winding, for use as stators or rotors of electrical machines. It has a light metal magnetic envelope which is placed at the exterior of the winding and stretches at least over a part of the wound zone which is not crossed by useful flux and which at the same time is shaped to assure the attenuation of dispension fields, the fixing of the core and the removal of dissipated heat. The core, has on its surface turned towards the metallic envelope, ribs crossing the winding and assuring its fitment in the metallic envelope.
