Abstract
PURPOSE:To save labor for the sheet threading work, and to contrive the shortening of the sheet threading time, by supporting the work roll chock on the support chock rotatably installed in the housing. CONSTITUTION:After threading the steel sheet between the upper and lower work rolls 1, 2, the motor 8 is driven to turn the support chocks 6', 7', for 180 degrees turning the work rolls 1, 2, simultaneously; hereby, the steel sheet is wound round the work rolls 1, 2. While this sheet threading period, the connector 12 is moved to the right against the spindle 10 through the connector of spline 11 of the connector 12 in the spindle 10, and the connection with the shaft end of the work rolls 1, 2, is disconnected; after that, the support chocks 6', 7', are turned.
