Abstract
PURPOSE:To stably makufacture a one-side hot dipped product without metal dropping or adhesion to a side not to be hot dipped by maintaining the vapor press. of hot dipping metal in the vicinity of the inner wall surface of a hot dipping apparatus over a strip steel sheet to below the saturation vapor press. in one-side hot dipping of the sheet to prevent condensation on the inner wall surface. CONSTITUTION:Strip steel sheet 4 is conveyed from snout 5 over the surface of hot dipping bath 1 covered with case 2 and kept under a non-oxidizing atmosphere. Next sheet 4 is horizontally moved with roll 7 set in the vicinity of the bath surface, contacted to the bath surface raised with ultraviolet tip 6 to hot dip the under side, moved kpward with roll 8, and passed by wiping unit 9 to regulate the amt. of metal adhered. The inside of case 2 is heated with heater 3 provided over sheet 4 to prevent condensation of hot dipping metal vapor on case 2 over sheet 4. When the bath temp. is 450 - 480 deg.C, the case inside is pref. heated to 600 - 800 deg.C.
