Abstract
PURPOSE: To make an ultrasonic liquid atomizer highly efficient and small by intermittently driving an ultrasonic vibrator so that the mean drive current is controlled to a constant level.
CONSTITUTION: There is generated in a resistor 25 a voltage proportional to a high frequency current for driving the ultrasonic oscillating circuit for an ultrasonic liquid atomizer which is composed of resistors 50, 51 and 56, a current transformer 53, an ultrasonic oscillator 54, capacitors 55 and 58 and a transistor. As a result, the voltage is rectified and smoothened by a diode 26 and a capacitor 27 and is converted into a DC voltage thereby to drive a transistor 30. Thus, by the action of a constant voltage diode 35, an astable multivibrator, which is composed of resisters 39, 42, 43 and 46, capacitors 40 and 44 and transistors 41 and 45, so that the transistor 57 is periodically rendered conductive and inconductive to intermittently drive the oscillator 54. As a result, the drive current of the oscillator 54 is controlled to a constant level to provide such a highly efficient device as has its heat loss reduced as compared with the continuous drive. Incidentally, if the multivibrator is controlled through a variable resistor, the set value of the oscillator of the drive current is made variable.
