Abstract

PURPOSE:To form a metal coat of mirror surface which prevents blister and features a high reflexibility with no crack by tiering up the water swelling polyvinyl alcohol film, acryl resin film and metal film onto the fluorescent screen. CONSTITUTION:Thin film 25 of water swelling polyvinyl alcohol featuring a lower decomposition temperature then acryl resin 23 is provided on the layer composed of fluorescent substance 22 before formation of resin 23, thus eliminating exposure particle 22' of the fluorescent substance completely. Then metal film 24 is evaporated and burnt. With this burning, the heat decomposition is caused to film 25. As a result, the extremely this pinhole is caused to the metal film, and the gas is discharged to prevent the blister occurrence. As film 25 is not dissolved easily into the water, no elution of the film is caused even with coating of the water soluble acryl emulsion solution in the next process. Thus, a high adhesion is secured between film 25 and the acryl resin film with a thin thickness since the surface of film 25 is flat. As a result, a high-luminance fluorescent screen can be obtained with the metal film featuring a high reflexibility coated.
