Abstract

CONSTITUTION: In the case in which thermally decomposable vapourizable polymer film is formed on the fluorescent film provided on the inner face of a cathode ray tube and a metal film is formed on the polymer film to form a fluorescent reflecting surface, a 5W10% aqueous polymer solution is coated and dried on the entire inner face and a 3W8% aqueous polymer solution in which water insoluble polymer fine powder of 10W18% to the weight of polymer in the aqueous polymer solution is dispersed is coated on the first polymer layer to form a polymer film. Thus blistering and pealing of the metal film is prevented in the baking process, and a fluorescent screen with excellent improved reflectance can be obtained.
