Abstract
PURPOSE: The title crosslinkable composition capable of forming a film having improved mechanical strength, solvent and weather resistance by curing, obtained by adding a crosslinking agent to a specific urethane polymer emulsion.
CONSTITUTION: A) An emulsion obtained by copolymerizing a) a blend consisting of 3W50 wt.% of an urethane polyemer (e.g., shown by the formula III) prepared from an aliphatic or an alicyclic polyisocyanate having two or more isocyanate groups (e.g., shown by the formula I) and a mono (meth)acrylate of polyoxyethylene glycol (e.g., shown by the formula II), b) 0W50 wt.% of an active hydrogen- containing monoethylenic unsaturated monomer e.g., a monoacrylate of ethylene glycol, and c) the rest of a copolymerizable ethylenic unsaturated monomer, is blended with B) a crosslinking agent capable of reacting with an active hydrocarbon, e.g., a curing agent of amino resin to give the desired composition.
