Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance greatly the monitoring performance by the procedure in which sampling is made only for a desired cycle area of welding current and then the cumulative average value of welding current for the sampling area is compared with a predetermined value.
CONSTITUTION: At the welding current detection circuit 1, only desired cycle area of welding current is detected. The window type comparator 5 receives as input the DC voltages VTH1 and VTH2 to give sampling starting and finishing signals and sends out the signal H only for the electrification cycle number corresponding to staircase output contained between VTH1 and VTH2. At the division circuit IV, the average value of welding current in sampling area is obtained. Only when the DC voltages V1U and V1L corresponding to the upper and lower limit values of welding current and the output G of the one shot circuit 11 become H as a criterion value at the comparator circuit V, the switch circuit 13 is closed and the output of the division circuit 12 is compared at the comparator 14.
