Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare a polyolefin resin useful for laminates, capable of bonding with a base in a short time without using the other adhesive, and having improved hygienic qualities, by compounding a polyolefin with a polymerizable unsaturated carboxylic acid and an aluminum compound.
CONSTITUTION: (A) 100 parts by weight of a polyolefin is compounded with (B) 0.1W20 parts by weight of a carboxylic acid having a polymerizable unsaturated bond (e.g. acrylic acid, etc.) and/or its anhydride, and (C) 0.1W10 parts by weight of an aluminum compound (pref. aluminum hydroxide). For example, (A) is mixed with (B) at a temperature 10W100°C higher than the softening point of (A), and the solution of (C) dissolved in an extremely small amount of a solvent it added thereto. The composition is applied to a base (e.g. aluminum board, etc.) or used as an adhesive layer or a film layer of a laminate.
EFFECT: Adhesion is completed by heat treatment for a short time, i.e. in 0.5W5 sec.
