Abstract

PURPOSE: To maintain comfortableness and economize energy, by estimating the relative humidity of a room and the outdoor air temperature from the temperatures at a heat-exchanged air side, upstream side of intake air and coolant inlet port of an interior heat exchanger.
CONSTITUTION: A temperature sensor 7 is provided at a coolant inlet pipe of the interior heat exchanger 4. A temperature sensor 8 is provided at the upstream side of intake air. A temperature sensor 9 is provided at the downstream side of heat- exchanged air. Detection signals of the sensors 7, 8, 9 are applied to a controller 10. A detection signal of a room temperature detector 11 is also applied to the controller. This controller calculates the cooling capacity and the relative and absolute humidity of the room from said detection signals and also calculates the dry-bulb temperature of the room and estimates the outdoor air temperature from the wet- bulb temperature of the room and the inlet coolant temperature of the heat exchanger 4. A temperature set on the room temperature detector 11 is varied depending on the outdoor air temperature. A refrigeration circuit is thus controlled to prevent the excessive cooling of the room and economize energy.
