Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate the gain error within the reception band by providing fixed tuning circuit between the high-frequency amplification step and the mixer step, and thus to increase the RF gain.
CONSTITUTION: High-frequency amplifying NPN transistor TrQ1 is connected to the base of TrQ2 for mixer via coupling capacitor CS. Capacitor CT is connected between the base of TrQ2 and capacitor CS, and coil LT is connected between the earth and the connection of capacitor CS and CT. Thus, a parallel resonance circuit is formed with emitter-earthed input capacity Cie of TrQ2, stray capacity sum C and input conductance gie. This circuit functions as the fixed tuning circuit which tunes frequency fO determined by the value of coil LT and capacity C. As a result, frequency fO and its approximate frequency are always selected to be supplied to TrQ2, thus increasing the RF gain.
