Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for large thickness even if an IC and a crystal vibrator are superposed and achieve miniaturization by disposing the output terminals of the IC along the mutually opposing two sides, forming a protection mold having a recess in the central part of the two sides and containing the crystal vibrator therein. CONSTITUTION:The output terminals 1-c of an IC 1 are disposed along the mutually oposing two sides 1-a and 1-b of the IC 1 formed nearly in a square shape. Further the output terminals 1-c are connected by wire bonding to the terminals 4a formed by etching or the like on respective substrates 4, after which a protection mold 3 provided with the recess 3a of nearly the same shape as the outside diameter of a crystal vibrator 2 is applied with the centerline 1d of the mutually opposing two sides 1a, 1b nearly as a center. The crystal vibrator 2 is contained in the recess 3a. The crystal vibrator 2 is then hot-calked to part 3b of the protection mold 3 by a crystal vibrator fixing plate 5, supporting the terminals between the recess 3a and the fixing plate 5.
