Abstract

PURPOSE:To achieve the prevention of the occurrence of quenching phenomena in a flame luminous intensity detector by hermetically bonding a quartz tube and a nozzle thereby eliminating clearance. CONSTITUTION:When the clearance between a quartz tube 3 and an external nozzle 2 is hermetically bonded by a bonding material 12, quenching phenomena may be prevented and measurement may be made with high sensitivity. Or the similar effect may also be obtained even by burying the quartz tube 3 into the external noise 2 and hermetically tightening the same with a nut 13 together with a washer 15 via packing 14. Further, the similar results may be obtained even by fusion welding the quartz tube 3 and external nozzle thereby eliminating the clearance. In any case, quenching phenomena may be prevented by hermetically bonding the clearance between the quartz tube and nozzle.
