Abstract

PURPOSE: To detect torque by providing the objects to be detected alternately arrayed with reflecting surfaces which reflect light and absorbing surfaces which absorb light to the driving side shaft and the driven side shaft and obtaining the phase differences of the detecting signals from these objects.
