Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a tag gas sealed capsule effective enough with a less amount of volume with an easy filling capable as well of high pressure tag gas, by means of charging an expansion capsule, in the extended state of which a tag gas is sealed, within a clad pipe in the compressed state.
CONSTITUTION: Between a fuel pellet, inserted into a clad pipe 1, and a top end plug 2, is constructed a plenum part 3, into which a tag gas sealed capsule 4 is charged. Said capsule is made such that bellows-shape plates be formed at its side with a deformation capable toward extension and contraction. And in a condition with the capsule 4 extended to a maximum limit, with a tag gas filled into the interior, after sealing the both end openings, the capsule 4 is compressed toward the axial direction with the side pleats closely attached to each other, and a fixing processed by methods of brazing. After charging said capsule 4, in a state of compression, in the clad pipe 1, its unsealing is made by a suitable method from outside.
