Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent intrusion of rain water into an outdoor switch box by providing a door thereof with upper and lower bent edges bent with an inwardly downward slope with a gap permitting the flow of rain water provided with respect to the corresponding roof portion so that rain water may drop into a conduit.
CONSTITUTION: A door 14 of an outdoor switch box 1 has upper and lower bent edges 14A and 14B bend with an inwardly downward slope. Thus, rain water enterding through a gap 6 is guided by the inclined surface of the upper edge 14A and drops into a conduit 7. Also, water droplets attached to the inner side of the lower edge 14B is caused to flow along the inclined surface and drained through a gap 18. With this construction it is possible to prevent rusting and extend the life of the switch box.
