Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the tightness of the frame and prevent rain or others from penetrating into the inside by forming the frame made of synthetic resin to the form U in cross section and decreasing the gap of the upper and lower sides of the frame to an adequate size in a solar heat collector having a frame.
CONSTITUTION: A solar heat collector is arranged such that upper opening of an external box 1 including a flange 2 at the upper end of its side wall is enclosed with a transparent plate 3 for lighting, and the periphery portion of the transparent plate 3 and the flange 2 are held to be contacted tightly by a frame 4. In this arrangement, the frame 4 made of synthetic resin is formed into the form U in cross section and a lower side of the U form frame is bent upwards so as to make the gap between the upper end of the bent portion and an upper side of the U form frame less than the thickness of the superimposed flange 2 and transparent plate 3. In such a way, the frame 4 is not rusted and maintains the safety because it is made of synthetic resin and its lower end does not include the sharpened edge. In addition, elasticity produced at the lower end of the frame gives the superior tightness, so that it is possible to prevent rain or others from entering into the inside.
