Abstract

PURPOSE: To make uniform the hardness of coated varnish film and rapidly manufacture enameled wires of high quality, by coating varnish on conductor wires and efficiently heating the wires by high-frequency induction.
CONSTITUTION: A pair of bands 5 of conductor having a high conductivity such as copper, aluminium, etc. are placed in the face of each other so that the bands are not short-circuited to each other. One end of each band is connected to a high- frequency power source 8 coupled to a resonating capacitor 9. The other ends of the bands are connected to each other so that an induction heating coil 2 is formed. A plurality of conductor wire passage holes are perforated through the heating coil 2 perpendicularly to the width direction. After a plurality of conductor wires 1 are coated with varnish, the wires are simultaneously heated by induction while moving through said holes. A plurality of such induction heaters are installed along the proceeding line of the wires between a varnish coating unit 7 and a baking furnace. Thus, the hardness of the coated varnish film is made uniform and the enameled wires of high quality are rapidly manufactured.
