Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare an easily disposable biodegradable film made of an alternate block copolymer consisting of a number of ester blocks of a low molecular weight aliphatic polyester, and a number of amide blocks of a low molecular weight aliphatic polyamide.
CONSTITUTION: Biodegradable films are prepared from a copolymer having an alternately bonded structure of (A) ester blocks of a low molecular weight polyester perferably of the formula I (X is aliphatic ester residue derived from an aliphatic alcohol and an aliphatic carboxylic acid). and (B) amide blocks of a low molecular weight aliphatic polyamide preferably of the formula II (Y is aliphatic amide residue derived from an aliphatic carboxylic acid and an aliphatic amine).
