Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform effective waveform equalizing with a simple constitution by controlling a gate circuit with the synchronizing signal thereby equalizing only the information signal having been inserted in the video signal period. CONSTITUTION:The synchronizing signal of the signal reproduced with a VTR, etc. is extracted in a synchronous separator circuit 11, then a synchronous signal generating circuit 12 operates and a signal separator circuit 13 extracts the information signal inserted in the video signal period and applies the same to a transversal filter 14. The information signal through the A/D converter 21 of the filter 14 is equalized by passing through a tap delay line 22, a coefficient circuit 23 whose gain is set via tap gain control circuit 27, a synthesizing circuit 24, a discrimination judgement circuit 25, etc., and the circuit 27 is controlled by the equalization evaluation feedback signal by a subtractor 26. On the other hand, a gate circuit 28 is controlled by the circuit 12 and in the synchronising signal period the tap control by the filter 14 does not take place and only the information signal having been inserted in the video signal period is equalized without any efect on the synchronizing signal, thus the equalization of the information signal may be performed efficiently to a high grade.
