Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the mechanical strength by reinforcing the securement of permanent magnets with magnet retainer pieces provided on a non-magnetic plate used for securing and protecting the magnets.
CONSTITUTION: Arcular permanent magnets 2 are arranged radially and substantially at a constant interval on the inner periphery of a flywheel 1 made of iron. The permanent magnets 2 are mounted on an annular first non-magnetic plate (aluminum plate) 3 provided at the bottom of the flywheel in such a manner that its axial movement is prevented. A second non-magnetic plate 4 is provided in contact with the magnet surface of the open side of the flywheel, and it is secured with part of entirety of its periphery deformed by additional mechanical camping of the inner periphery 5 of the open end of the flywheel. A steel spring plate 6 has a ring-like form and is set on the magnet surfaces. Magnet retainer pieces 7 are formed with a press and have a width dimension smaller than the inter-magnet gap L. The magnets 2 are arranged on the inner surface of the flywheel 1 via the first non-magnetic plate 3, and then the second non-magnetic plate 4 is secured with each magnet retainer piece 7 held in coincidence with each intermagnet gap L.
