Abstract

PURPOSE: To omit the memorization of the position of the starting point as well as end of the starting point register for the operator for the cathode-ray tube graphic display unit by displaying the address which is supplied first among the two grid point addresses necessary for generation of the segment until the input of the next address.
CONSTITUTION: The grid point information is memorized in point memory circuit 2 with the grid point unit with which the screen of cathode-ray tube display part 1 is divided electrically into the grid from of n × m. Signal generator circuit 3 produces the signal to control circuit 2 and part 1, and thus the information memorized in circuit 2 is converted to the video signal via video signal converter circuit 4 to give the segment display combining the two grid points on the screen pointed optionally. With appointment of the first point of the two grid points, the display of the spot position is written into circuit 2 based on the position and then erased when the second point is designated.
