Abstract
PURPOSE:To shorten the fault recovery time for the fault retrieving system through the automatic detection of the faulty area by detaching temporarily and selectively the transmission device of the lower place by the central control unit when the carrier fault information signal is received from a transmission device. CONSTITUTION:Transmission device STi(i=1-k) monitors 6 the carrier fault and then informs the carrier fault, if occurs, to central control unit ST0 via transmission circuit part 4, and at the same time receives 3 the order from unit ST0 to reset FF9 and then switching off by-pass relay 2 to detach it from transmission line 1. Furthermore, common control part 5 is detached from line 1 through the self- control in case the carrier fault continues for more than the fixed time. Here, unit ST0, when receiving the carrier fault information from unit STi, detaches temporarily and selectively the transmission device which is located at the lower place of STi from the transmission line based on the detaching order, thus carrying out the automatic faulty area. As a result, the faulty area can be detected quickly at the remote place to eliminate the fault quickly, thus shortening the fault recovery time of the system.
