Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the fatigue strength of the journal portion of a crankshaft by rotating a vanishing roller around the crankshaft and its own axis by making the vanishing roller contact with a fillet portion from three directions around it. CONSTITUTION:Two master crankshafts 25 are rotated around an axis of the journal portion 5 thereof as a center. A piston 6 is rotated around the axis of the journal portion 5, and plates 7, 8 are also rotated around the journal portion 5. A vanishing roller 20 faces under pressure with the fillet portion F of the pin P3 of a crankshaft 15 to allow the roller 20 and bearing roller 18 to rotate around the axis of the journal portion of the crankshaft 15 as a center while rotating around their own axes to thereby vanish the fillet portion F by rotating around the fillet portion F.
