Abstract
PURPOSE: To extract the active constituent of the title substance useful as a maltose preparation enzyme from a raprseed refuse efficiently, by treating an aqueous suspension of the refuse under a specific pH.
CONSTITUTION: A 1W20% aqueous suspension of a rapeseed refuse is adjusted to pH about ≤5, usually 1W4, with a mineral acid, e.g. hydrochloric or sulfuric acid, or an organic acid, e.g. acetic or citric acid, to extract a substance promoting α-1,6- glucosidase production of bacteria at room temperature or above for 1W20 hr. The suspension is then filtered or centrifuged to give the desired substance.
EFFECT: The extract added to a medium can promote considerably the production of α-1,6-glucosidase without trouble of medium control and bacteria removal compared with the rapeseed refuge used directly as a medium component.
