Abstract
PURPOSE: For increasing dust collection efficiency without heightening water supply rate, to feed ponds, in order, with the flushing water of which the whole supply amount is supplied by a water supply pipes.
CONSTITUTION: In a wet type electric dust collector 1, a tubular dust collecting electrode 3 is attached below a pipe plate 2 and a plurality of ponds 4 are formed thereabove. Overflow and flushing pipings 5 are provided on said ponds 4 and connected with water supply pipes 6 and 7. The dust-containing gas G introduced through a pipe 8 and led to said dust-collecting electrode 3 by a baffle corn 9 is discharged as clean gas (g) due to the electric field between a discharge electrode 10 and said dust-collecting electrode 3. The dust collected on inner face of said dust- collecting electrode 3 is flushed by overflow water W1 and flushing water W2. At this time, the whole amount of said flushing water W2 is fed to said ponds 4 so that dust collection efficiency is increased.
