Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a polarized microwave-band-pass filter of a coaxial type which can be fabricated easily, by providing projections perpendicular to two resonance rods of a filter composed of four resonators or more including resonance rods, and a coupling window between other two resonance rods. CONSTITUTION:Six 1/4-wavelength resonance rods 21 to 26 provided to cover 3 are jointed through coupling windows 41 to 45 provided inside of enclosure 2. Microwaves supplied from inputside connector 31 couple with 1st resonance rod 21 through antenna 13 and then couples with antenna 14 from 6th resonance rod 26 before being outputted from connector 32. Resonance rods are shorted at cover 3, which are fitted with resonance-frequency adjusting screws 61 to 66, and cover 3 and enclosure 2 are fitted with coupling-adjusting screws 71 to 79. Conductive protrusion 51 and 52 are provided perpendicularly to axes of resonance rods 22 and 25 and capacity-coupled via coupling windows 46. Resonance rods 21 and 26 couple inductively through small coupling window 47. A vertical surface including the center of window 47 is parallel to a vertical surface including axes of rods 21 and 26 and made a quarter of the radius of the resonance rod away, so that an easily-fabricated polarized BPF can be obtained.
