Abstract
PURPOSE: To manufacture a foamed laminate having low impact resilience and high dimensional stability with time, by heat-foaming two sheets of unfoamed chlorinated polyethylene foamable sheet interposing a thermoplastic resin sheet therebetween.
CONSTITUTION: A foamable resin sheet is prepared by blending (a) 100 parts by weight of a resin composition composed of a chlorinated polyethyelene containing about 15W60 wt% of chlorine, or a resin belnd containing said chlorinated polyethylene, and other polymers, e.g. polyvinyl chloride, butyl rubber, etc., (b) about 0.2W10 parts of a cross-linking agent such as dicumyl peroxide, etc., and (c) about 1W15 parts of a foaming agent such as azodicarbonamide. A sheet of a thermoplastic resin such as poyyethylene, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, etc., having a thickness of about 1 mm, is inserted between two pieces of the about foamable sheet, and the composite is foamed by heating at about 130W200°C under a pressure of about 20W200 kg/cm2 for 5W30 min.
