PURPOSE:To reduce the size and power consumption of an audio apparatus with the use of a piezoelectric speaker by compensating impedance with the use of a coil and a resistor which are connected in parallel. CONSTITUTION:The impedance of a speaker SP is compensated as the load of a driving push-pull transistor amplifier by means of a coil L and a variable resistor R, which are connected in parallel with the speaker SP. As a result, by the impedance compensation of the speaker, which is varied with the frequency, the frequency characteristics of the prezoelectric speaker acting as an audio apparatus which is small in size and driven with a low power consumption are flattened within a preset frequency range so that they can be driven to a setisfactory extent.
