Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the sticking, stay and thermal decomposition of synthetic resins, by means of a cooling unit attached to a cutter in contact with the screw tip. CONSTITUTION:The cutter 6 which is provided around the periphery of the screw tip 3 protruding from the cylinder 1 is equipped with a cooling unit, e.g. the cooling blowing pipe 7 along the bent part of the support 6a, and cooled by blowing cooling air fed from the rubber hose 8 on the cutter 6 via the tip of the pipe 7. Synthetic resins extruded from the cylinder 1 is cooled by the cooled cutter and scraped off with reduced adhesion to other parts free from sticking and stay.
