Abstract
PURPOSE: To suppress local overheating due to eddy currents, by providing two magnetic shield plates consisting of highly electrically conductive material on the two core-clamping metal members which horizontally hold each of the upper and lower yokes for core-legs by being connected by a plurality of metal connectors.
CONSTITUTION: Magnetic shield plates 10a, 10b consisting of highly electrically conductive material are provided on the uppermost surfaces of core-clamping metal members 5a, 5b and both of these shield plates are electrically connected to each other by highly electrically conductive members 20 at heir both ends and between winding phases. Thus, substantially no current will flow through the core clamping metal members 5a, 5b and the metal connector 7a so that local overheating can be suppressed.
