Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.惑星表面の上方を移動するビークルを含むSARレーダシステムであって、 ビークルの位置を判定するための手段と、 前記惑星表面に向かってビークルからレーダ信号を繰り返し送信するための 手段と、 後方散乱された等しい信号をビークル上において受信するための手段であっ て、1組の異なったビークル位置のセットに対して割り当てられた後方散乱信号 を、良好な距離分解能においてその惑星表面のイメージに変換し、その際、直接 受信されたレーダリターンとして、又は送信信号が長くなる場合には、周知のパ ルス圧縮技術の成果として、短いパルスを用いるようにした前記受信手段とを備 えたものであり、 前記システムの特徴として、 レーダビークルの軌跡セグメント、すなわち、惑星表面上に結像された至 近点の各々を、レーダ信号の波長特性に関して、前記小開口の遠方界領域内に位 置せしめる程度に短く設定された小開口と呼ばれる複数セグメントを通じて、信 号振幅を収集し、 各小開口より得られたデータから、小開口長と波長とで決定される角度分 解能を有し、各々が小開口内の所定位置に関連する指向性レーダビームのセット を合成し、 地勢図に基づくか、又は惑星表面が例えば平坦であるとの仮定に基づいて 同表面の状態を推定し、更には、 プラットホーム位置と地上点によって決定される距離及びビーム方向にお ける、すべての小開口についての振幅の和によって、イメージを形成するすべて の地上点のレーダ反射を演算するように構成されたSARレーダシステム。 2.振幅の総和がビークル軌跡に比較的平行な方向から振幅に対する重み付けを 小さくするようにした重み係数を用い、これによってサイドルッキング指向性ア ンテナのアンテナ線図を模擬するようにしたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の SARレーダシステム。 3.送信及び受信レーダ信号が少なくとも共通帯域幅の1オクターブのスパンを 有するものであることを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項2に記載のSARレーダ システム。 4.ビークルに支持されたレーダアンテナが少なくとも30°の区分を照射する ようにしたことを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載したSARレー ダシステム。 5.小開口の長さ及び最短波長によって決定される角度分解能を有するレーダビ ームを各小開口において得られたデータの信号処理によって獲得し、前記信号処 理が各ビークル位置から開口内の共通信号点へのビーム方向において投射された 距離シフトレーダ手段であって、ビークル位置において記録されたものからなる ことを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載したSARレーダシステム 。 6.惑星表面の諸点の反射率が全レーダイメージを形成する惑星表面点の複数の セットである複数のサブイメージに分割し、小開口の長さと同一桁まで方位及び 傾斜レンジにおいて延長した惑星表面点のセットである複数のサブイメージに分 割することによって演算され、その場合において、ただ1つの指向性ビームが各 小開口に対するサブイメージ内の惑星表面点の反射率演算に寄与するようにした ことを特徴とする請求項5に記載のSARレーダシステム。 7.ビークルの小開口から小開口への相対運動が、最強の反射体の小開口から小 開口へのレンジシフトを、周知の地勢図に基づくビークルの相対移動の検索に適 用するためのレンジ及び角度の関数として各小開口毎に得られた振幅を分類する ことにより得られるようにしたことを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に 記載したSARレーダシステム。 8.惑星表面が平坦であると仮定して演算を実行するようにした請求項7記載の SARレーダシステム。
