Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the freshness of a plant such as one of green vegetables, flowering plants and fruit plants. SOLUTION: A solution having a pH of 7 and obtained by adding and dissolving 5-1 wt.% of trehalose and 0.1-0.0001 wt.% of water-soluble chitosan in distilled water is further diluted with water. Subsequently, a plant is dipped in the diluted solution, or the diluted solution is coated on the plant or the leaves of the plant. The trehalose is obtained by treating maltose with an enzyme and subsequently purifying the treated product. It can thus be expected that the flowering of a flowering plant is controlled or that the freshness of a leaf vegetable is maintained.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Leafy vegetables such as Chinese cabbage, spinach, lettuce, pak choi and cabbage are required to maintain freshness. Radish, spinach, broccoli, and the like have a reduced product value due to the formation of a flower axis called "toe standing". Roses, especially flowers, have a poor flower life at an expensive rate because the best time to see the flowers is over. Strawberries, pears, apples, tangerines, and peaches ripen quickly, leading to "mitsu" and rot. Deterioration of epidermis such as yam, potato, taro, mountain potato, etc. is rapid depending on the type of cultivated soil.

2. Description of the Related Art To prevent such deterioration, mercury materials, various kinds of freshness preserving agents such as repeats are conventionally sold as freshness preserving agents, but most of the materials are used as raw materials for agricultural chemicals or long-chain alcohols. There was a problem in terms of toxicity and the like in terms of the safety of the treated vegetables and the disposal of treated water. Separately, methods such as low-temperature preservation and ice temperature preservation have also been proposed, but there are problems such as problems with storage facilities, cooling energy, land costs, labor costs, etc., leading to an increase in freshness maintenance costs. In recent years, freshness has been maintained by gas sealing, shrink wrapping, and special wrapping. However, packaging material prices, processing labor costs, and the like, and packaging waste used for these have led to higher distribution costs.

The present invention will be described by way of examples. Example 1 A stock solution having a pH of 7 was prepared by adding 5% by weight of trehalose and 0.01% by weight of water-soluble low molecular weight chitosan to distilled water. This stock solution was diluted 2-fold, 10-fold, 100-fold, and 10-fold using water pumped for two days on the sun for the purpose of dechlorination of tap water. Untreated area (Wed), Taisho Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. “Repeat”, a flower-preserving freshness agent, is used as a target area. The results of the examples are shown in Table 1.

[Effect of the Invention] In the "repeat of the target area", the freshness of the foliage was maintained for 26 days until January 9, 1998 (the flower was around December 20), but died on the 27th. The rose in the test plot using the water-soluble low molecular weight chitosan of the saccharide used in this synthesis was 1
Only "roses" sprayed on the leaves diluted 0-fold slowly flower,
Freshness was maintained until January 12, 1998 (29th).
The test group immersed in a 10-fold solution of the same concentration died prematurely due to phytotoxicity. The roses immersed in a 100-fold diluted solution of the undiluted solution had a leaf stem for 16 days (December 27, 1997).
Day) or more, freshness was maintained, but rose buds did not flower. From these experiments, it was found that the effect of water-soluble chitosan and trehalose on the freshness of plants was lower than that conventionally known for controlling flowering speed of flowers, protecting and preventing the drying of seedlings, and preserving the taste of fruits. %) High activity in the area was confirmed, so applications such as expansion of shipping distance of vegetables and flowers and reduction of distribution cost, hotel, restaurant, canteen, office, horticultural work, etc. It can be used for landscaping. In addition, the improvement of ingredients like a salad sense of leafy vegetables, use for cut vegetables,
It can be used for pickling, storing fruits (strawberry, peach, pear, apple, orange, etc.) and improving gift transport. The co-test “rose” was provided by a “rose” farmer in Sannan-mura, Numakuma-gun, Hiroshima Prefecture. As for the "roses" in the co-test, only the "roses" in the untreated area used yellow "roses", and the "roses" in the flowering state were selected and used to the same extent. Description of test drug Outline of test site: Outdoor glass room with oil stove temperature control function Composition of test drug: 100 ml x 8 sections = 800 ml distilled water / trehaose / low molecular weight chitosan 1 L 50 g (5%) 100 mg (0.1%) Applicable area: Taisho Pharmaceutical “Repeat” 2 section = soaked No treatment area tap water sun treatment 2 section = soak test 2 times dilution area 100 ml x 200 ml water x 2 sections = soak test 10 times dilution area 100 ml x 900 ml water × 2 section = soak test 10 times leaf surface spraying 100ml × 900ml water × 2 section = spraying test 100 times dilution section 100ml × 1.9L water × 2 section = soak
