洗濯物を乾燥するにあたっては、ファンを駆動すると共
にヒータに通電し、必要に応じてドラムを駆動し、また
吐出口から水道水を吐出する。すると、ヒータで加熱さ
れた空気がドラムの入口からドラム内に入り、洗濯物の
乾燥に寄与した空気がドラムの出口から循環経路に戻る
ように空気がドラムと循環経路との間を循環して洗濯物
が乾燥される。このときドラムの出口から出る空気は水
蒸気を含んだ空気であるが、吐出口から循環経路に水道
水を吐出することでドラムの出口から出た空気を冷却
し、水蒸気を凝縮させることで除湿して乾燥した空気を

から温水を供給するために温水発生装置の熱源としてガ
ス燃焼器具等を用いることができて電力使用量が少なく
できると共にランニングコストも低減できる。

水熱交換器5は温水が通る熱交換パイプ5aに放熱フィ
ン5bを設けて形成されている。そして給湯用や暖房用
の温水発生装置6と温水熱交換器5とは温水送り管8a
と温水戻り管8bにて連通させてあり、温水発生装置6
から温水熱交換器5に温水を供給できるようになってい
る。温水発生装置6はガス燃焼器具等を熱源としてい
る。送風手段Aはファン18と、ファン18を駆動する
モータ20と、モータ20の動力をファン18に伝達す
るベルト21にて形成されている。除湿手段Cは循環経
路4に水道水を吐出する吐出口19にて形成されてい
る。しかしてドラム1の内筒1b内の洗濯物の洗濯、濯
ぎ、脱水が順次行われた後、乾燥工程に入り、加熱手段
Bである温水熱交換器5に温水が供給されると共に送風
手段Aのファン18にて送風され、また吐出口19から
水道水が吐出される。ファン18で送風されて図1の矢
印aのように送られた空気は温水熱交換器5と熱交換し
て加熱されて矢印bのように送られ、入口2からドラム
1内に加熱された空気が供給され、ドラム1内の洗濯物

蒸気を含んだ空気はドラム1の出口3から出て矢印cの
ように送られ、この水蒸気を含んだ空気が吐出口19か
ら吐出する水道水で冷却して凝縮されて除湿され、除湿
されて乾燥した空気は矢印dのようにファン18に至
り、ファン18から再び矢印aのように温水熱交換器5
に送られるように循環する。そしてこの空気の循環によ
り洗濯物が乾燥される。加熱手段Bで加熱するときは温
水発生装置6から温水送り管8aを介して矢印eのよう
に温水が送られ、この温水が温水熱交換器5に送られ、
加熱ボックス7に送風された空気と熱交換され、温水熱
交換器5から温水戻り管8bを矢印fのように戻されて
温水発生装置6に戻るように温水が循環し、空気が温水
にて加熱される。このとき熱容量の大きい温水と熱交換
するので、100℃以下の温度である温水でも十分な熱
量を得ることができる。除湿手段Cでは水道水が吐出口
19から吐出され、この水道水で水蒸気を含んだ空気が
冷却され、冷却されて凝縮した水滴は水道水と一緒に矢

生装置から温水熱交換器に温水を供給するようにしてい
るので、温水発生装置から温水熱交換器に温水を供給
し、温水熱交換器に送風することで空気を加熱すること
ができるものであって、熱容量の多い温水と熱交換して
十分な熱量を得られるものでも、温水熱交換器が高温に
なることがなく、発火の危険性が一切なく安全に使用で
きるものであり、また給湯用や暖房用の温水発生装置か
ら温水を供給するために温水発生装置の熱源としてガス
燃焼器具等を用いることができて電力使用量が少なくで
きると共にランニングコストも低減できるものである。
