Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent reverse flow of ink generated by upward writing and impact by a method wherein a valve chamber which is tightly closed by a valve disk normally brought into contact with a receiving seat by a spring is provided in a mouthpiece behind a tip. SOLUTION: When writing pressure is applied to a tip ball 21, a mouthpiece 10 retreats to a shaft cylinder 2 against a return spring 27. At that time pressure in a second valve chamber 4 rises, a first valve disk 23 is opened, ink flows into a first valve chamber 15 and is forced to be supplied into the tip 20, which flows out together with rotation of a tip ball 21 following writing. Then, when the writing pressure is released, the moutnpiece 10 returns to the original state to the shaft cylinder 2, and pressure in a second valve chamber 4 is reduced. At that time, a second valve body 25 openes, and ink flows into the valve chamber 4 from a conducting pore 8. Hereafter by repeating writing pressure of the tip ball 21 and its release, the ink is successively pumped. Further, since the valve disks 23, 25 are generally closed, the ink is prevented from flowing reversely owing to own weight of the ink and its drop impact.

2. Description of the Related Art There is known a ballpoint pen using an ink having a shear-thinning viscosity, which exhibits a high viscosity in a static state and the viscosity is reduced by rotation of a ball at the time of writing so that the ink flows out. When the viscosity of the ink is increased, there is a problem that the ink outflow state may become uneven or impossible to follow if the pressure is reduced by the weight of the ink or the rotation of the tip ball. In general, a ballpoint pen is liable to cause ink leakage (ink flows backward at the rear end of the ink storage tube) due to the weight and impact of the ink. For that,
Usually, a grease-like follower is provided at the rear end of the ink to suppress the backflow of the ink following the consumption of the ink during writing. However, even if the follower is provided, when writing upwards, if the ink on the back side of the ball of the chip runs out, the ink head is directly added, and a backflow occurs, thereby contaminating the inside of the shaft cylinder and causing ink to flow through the vent hole provided in the shaft cylinder. Risk of leaking and soiling hands and clothing.

Further, conventionally known correction applicators use a liquid such as ink having a hiding power containing a pigment or the like as a coating liquid, and there is a problem that the pigment sediments and separates from the solution.
A means for stirring the ink by inserting a ball or the like into the ink storage tube is provided. Therefore, it is necessary to stir the ink by shaking the applicator during use. In addition, since the ink storage tube is made flexible and the side wall thereof is pressed by hand to discharge the ink, there is a problem that the ink is excessively discharged, causing unevenness and slow drying. Further, when the remaining amount of the ink in the ink container becomes small, there is a frustration that the ink is not discharged even if the side wall of the ink container is pushed strongly.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION It is an object of the present invention to prevent the ink from flowing backward due to upward writing or impact of a ballpoint pen, thereby preventing the inside of a barrel, hands, and clothes from being stained, and the high viscosity of the ink. Even with the progress of ink-jet printing, ink is pumped by utilizing the pressurizing action of the writing pressure, and the ink is appropriately discharged to enable writing with a high density. Further, when a ballpoint pen-type correction applicator is used, the above-mentioned conventional problems can be solved.

First, in FIGS. 1 and 2, the ink is applied to the second valve chamber 4, the first valve chamber 15, and the tip ball 21 of the chip 20.
The back is filled up. In this state, the tip ball 21
When the writing pressure is applied, the base 10 retreats with respect to the barrel 2 against the return spring 27, and retreats at most by the L dimension. At that time, the internal pressure in the second valve chamber 4 rises, the first valve body 23 opens, and ink flows into the first valve chamber 15 and the chip 2
The ink is forcibly supplied to the inside of the nozzle and the ink flows out with the rotation of the tip ball 21 accompanying the writing. When the writing pressure is released, the base 10 returns to its original state with respect to the barrel 2, so that the pressure in the second valve chamber 4 is reduced. At this time, the second valve body 25 is opened, and ink flows into the valve chamber 4 from the guide hole 8. Hereinafter, by repeatedly writing and releasing the tip ball 21, the ink is sequentially pumped and the ink is reliably supplied into the chip even if the ink has high viscosity. Further, even in the upward writing, the ink is supplied by the pumping action, and the writing can be performed. In addition, since the valve body is always closed, the tip 20 is turned upward to prevent the ink from flowing backward due to its own weight or drop impact.

On the other hand, when no writing is performed, the spring 2
Since the tip ball 21 is brought into close contact with the inner edge of the chip holding portion by the pressing of the second rod shaft portion 22a, direct current of ink is prevented.
In addition, drying of the back surface of the tip ball 21 is prevented. Further, since the tip ball 21 slightly retreats due to the writing pressure, a gap is formed and ink can flow out.

The construction and operation of the ballpoint pen writing body of the present invention are as described above, and the backflow of ink due to upward writing or impact can be prevented by the normally closed valve body.
Accidents that stain the inside of the barrel, hands, clothes, etc. are prevented. In addition, since the ink is pumped by the writing pressure and the release thereof, the high-viscosity ink can reliably flow out, and it is possible to expect a thick writing line without unevenness in writing. Also, writing in an upward direction is possible. Further, in a state where writing is not performed, the tip ball is brought into close contact with the inner edge of the chip holding portion by the pressing of the rod shaft portion, so that direct current of ink is prevented. In addition, since the back surface of the tip ball is prevented from being dried, handwriting is prevented. In addition, since high-viscosity ink can flow out, an ink free from the problem of sedimentation of the pigment like the ink of the conventional correction applicator can be obtained. Therefore, it is possible to provide a correction applicator that does not have the problem of stirring the ink and the problem of excessively discharging the ink by pressing the side wall of the ink storage tube.
