Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for a power source for ion generation and a high voltage and special electrodes for enhancing ion generation efficiency by sticking two kinds of metals varying in ionization tendency to each other across a plastic film having a good insulating characteristic in-between and using the ions generated at the cut section thereof as an ion source for sterilization. SOLUTION: Foil 1 of aluminum and copper foil 3 which are two kinds of the metals varying in the ionization tendency to each other are stuck to each other across a polyethylene terephthalate(PET) film 2 as the insulator held in-between and, thereafter, the PET film 4 for protection is also stuck to the opposite surface of the aluminum foil 1 and the copper foil 3. This laminate is cut to fine pieces and is formed to a tape form. The tape formed by sticking the metals varying in the ionization tendency to each other via the insulating film, then cutting the film to a prescribed width forms a local battery at the section of this tape and the generated ions have sterilizing power and, therefore, the tape is capable of making an important contribution in imparting sterilizing power to daily articles and industrial articles.

である。特にイオンによって殺菌あるいは滅菌される効
果を用いたもので、イオンの発生効率が良くしかも応用
に際して加工が容易な細いテープ状のものに関する。

んで2種類の金属を貼り合せその切断断面に発生するイ
オンを殺菌用のイオン源とする。イオン発生効果は、絶
縁フィルムの厚さが薄いほど良いが、イオン発生源の面
積は逆に減少する、この問題を解決するために、出来る
だけ多くの切断面を作るために細巾のテープ状にスリッ
トする、結果として材料の使用効率も上がる。細くスリ
ットされたテープは、巻きつけ、織り込み、切断細片、
整列張り付け、等抗菌用品に加工する場合に多くの方法
があり便利である。張り合わされた金属の反体面が露出
している場合、加工方法によっては2種の金属がお互い
に電気的にショート状態になり、イオン発生効果が減少
する場合がある、このような現象を防止するために、金
属の反対面にプラスチックフィルムを張り付けて、金属
面は切断面だけが露出しているようにすることができ
る。又、用品に加工する場合の加工性を上げるためにそ
の上に接着層を付すこともできる。

たテープの巾は1mmであった。このテープは水道水の
中で0.3ボルトの直流電圧を発生していた。このテー
プを適当な間隔で織り込んだ風呂用のマットは織り込ん
でない通常のマットに比べてカビの発生が少なく、この
抗菌テープの殺菌力が確認された。

なテープは、抗菌が必要な用品に加工することが容易で
あり生活用品及び産業用の用品に抗菌力を与えることに
大きく貢献できるものである。イオン化傾向の異なる金
属の組合せは、アルミニウム/銅以外にアルミニウム/
銀、チタン/金、等各種の組合せが可能である。又、極
く短い電極間に発生した電圧は、ダニ、のみ、等の微小
生物を遠ざける効果のあることもわかった。
