Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.それぞれ第一および第二のビデオ番組を表す第一および第二の信号成分を含 むビデオ信号の供給ソースと、 前記ビデオ信号を第一のスマートカードの入力に結合させ、前記スマートカー ドにより発生された出力信号を、第二のスマートカードの入力に結合させ、前記 第二のスマートカードによって形成された出力信号を受ける結合手段であって、 前記第一のスマートカードからの出力信号は、前記ビデオ信号に応答して形成さ れ、前記第二のスマートカードからの出力信号は前記前記第一のスマートカード からの出力信号に応答して形成される結合手段と、 前記第二のスマートカードからの出力信号に応答して、画像ディスプレイ装置 と結合するのに適した信号を供給し、前記第一のビデオ番組を表す第一の画像部 分と前記第二のビデオ番組を表す第二の画像部分とを含む画像を形成する手段と を備えることを特徴とするビデオ信号処理システム。 2.前記ビデオ信号の前記第一および第二の信号成分がそれぞれ第一および第二 のスクランブルされた信号成分を備え、 前記第一のスマートカードからの出力信号は、第一のビデオ番組を表す第一の デスクランブルされた信号成分を含み、かつ第二のスクランブルされた信号成分 を含んでおり、 前記第二のスマートカードからの出力信号は、第一のデスクランブルされた信 号成分を含み、かつ第二のビデオ番組を表す第二のデスクランブルされた信号成 分を含んでいる ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のビデオ信号処理システム。 3.各前記第一および第二のスマートカードは、 複数の信号を処理するための前記スマートカードに搭載されたICに含まれる 信号プロセッサと、 前記スマートカードの表面に配置され、前記ICに複数の信号を結合させる複 数の端子と、 前記複数の信号は、入力データ信号、該入力データ信号から分離された出力デ ータ信号および制御信号を備え、複数の信号のそれぞれは、前記複数の端子の一 つに結合されており、 前記IC中に含まれた前記信号プロセッサは前記入力データ信号を前記制御信 号に含まれる制御情報に応答して処理し、前記出力信号を発生する ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載のビデオ信号処理システム。 4.複数の信号は、さらにタイミング信号を備え、 前記ICに含まれた前記信号プロセッサは、前記タイミング信号に応答して前 記入力データ信号を第一のデータレートで処理して、第一のデータレートで出力 データ信号を形成することを特徴とする請求項3に記載のビデオ信号処理システ ム。 5.前記第一のデータレートは10メガヘルツよりも大きいことを特徴とする請 求項4に記載のビデオ信号処理システム。 6.前記制御信号は、双方向信号であり、前記入力データ信号および前記出力デ ータ信号は一方向信号であることを特徴とする請求項5に記載のビデオ信号処理 システム。 7.前記複数の端子は、ISO規格7816−2に従ってスマートカードの表面 に配置されることを特徴とする請求項6に記載のビデオ信号処理システム。 8.前記スマートカードは、ISO規格7816−1によるメカニカル特性を示 すことを特徴とする請求項7に記載のビデオ信号処理システム。 9.前記ICに含まれた前記信号プロセッサは、前記タイミング信号に応答して 前記制御信号を第二のデータレートで処理し、前記入力データ信号の処理を制御 することを特徴とする請求項8に記載のビデオ信号処理システム。 10.前記第一のデータレートは、前記第二のデータレートよりも大きいことを 特徴とする請求項9に記載のビデオ信号処理システム。 11.前記ICは、タイミング信号を受けるように結合され、前記信号プロセッ サによる前記入力データ信号の処理を制御するための第一のデータレートに関連 した第一の周波数の第一の信号を形成し、前記信号プロセッサによる前記制御信 号の処理を制御するための前記第二のデータレートに関連した第二の周波数の第 二の信号を形成する分周器を含むことを特徴とする請求項10に記載のビデオ信 号処理システム。 12.前記ビデオ信号の供給ソースは、複数のビデオ信号から前記ビデオ信号を 選択するチューナを備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のビデオ信号処理シ ステム。 13.前記ビデオ信号の供給ソースは、 第一のビデオ番組を表すとともに、前記第一の信号成分を含む第一の信号を形 成する手段と、 第二のビデオ番組を表すとともに、前記第二の信号成分を含む第二の信号を形 成する手段と、 前記第一および第二のビデオ番組を表す前記第一および第二の信号を組み合わ せて、前記第一および第二の信号成分を有する前記ビデオ信号を発生する手段と を備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のビデオ信号処理システム。 14.それぞれ第一および第二のビデオ番組を表す第一および第二の信号成分を 含むビデオ信号を、第一のスマートカード内で処理して第一の処理された信号を 形成するステップと、 前記第一の処理された信号を第二のスマートカード内で処理して第二の処理さ れた信号を形成するステップと、 前記第二の処理された信号を処理して、第一のビデオ番組を表す第一の画像部 分と第二のビデオ番組を表す第二の画像部分を含む画像を生成するために、画像 ディスプレイ装置に結合するのに適した画像信号を発生するステップと を備えることを特徴とする画像ディスプレイ装置に結合するのに適した信号形 成方法。 15.前記第一のスマートカード内でビデオ信号を処理するステップは、前記ビ デオ信号の第一の信号成分中に含まれる第一のスクランブルされた信号成分をデ スクランブルするステップで構成されることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の方 法。 16.前記第二のスマートカード内で第一の処理された信号を処理するステップ は、前記ビデオ信号の第二の信号成分中に含まれる第二のスクランブルされた信 号成分をデスクランブルするステップで構成されることを特徴とする請求項15 に記載の方法。
