Abstract
Un sistema procesa una señal de video que incluye una pluralidad de componentes de señales que representan los respectivos de una pluralidad de programas de video tales como vidrios programas de TV de paga. Cada componente de señales es procesado, v.gr., desmodula un programa de TV de paga, mediante una de una pluralidad de tarjetas de circuito integrado (CI), o tarjetas "inteligentes", que procesan señales de alta velocidad conectadas en serie. Una señal de salida de la ultima tarjeta inteligente en al conexion en serie incluye una pluralidad de componentes procesados de señales. La pluralidad de componentes procesados de señales se procesan además para producir una señal adecuada para producir una imagen exhibida que incluye multiples porciones de imágenes, tales como imagen dentro de imagen (IDI) o imagen fuera de imagen (IFI) en un sistema de television. Cada porcion de imagen se produce en respuesta a uno de los componentes procesados de señales.
