クタンク内に気泡として浸入しその分だけインクが溢れ
出してインク保溜体に保溜される。また逆に軸筒からキ
ャップを外す場合、シール筒内の空気は上記の現象とは
逆に減圧される事になり、そのためインクタンク内のイ
ンクが引き出され、やはりインク保溜体に保留された
り、ペン先からインクを引き出す事になる。このように
キャップの着脱の度にインク保溜体のインク保溜量が増
加していき最後には保溜能力を超過して空気孔からイン
クが流出したり、ペン先からインクが漏れ出したりす
る。そこで従来のインク直接貯溜方式の筆記具のキャッ
プは、この現象を防ぐために下記のような構造を採用し
ている。

うに筆記先端部に延設されることにより部品点数の減少
に役立つとともに空気溝12の確保を容易なものとして
いる。
