2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, spun yarn made of 100% cotton has been generally used as a yarn for cleaning mops. The required characteristics of these mops are that soil, sand, cotton dust, etc. on the floor and tatami mats adhere to the spun yarn of the mop during cleaning and can be cleaned cleanly and easily, and when the mop yarn becomes dirty, it can be washed at home. When collected and industrially washed, these cotton dust and the like fall off quickly and endure many washings, resulting in little deterioration in quality. The cotton mop is excellent in wiping off dirt, sand, and cotton dust during cleaning, and has a washable property in which cotton dust quickly drops during washing, but on the other hand, it has poor washing and drying properties and washing durability, and cannot be used for a long time. there were.

Aiming at these improvements, for example, JP-A-63
A mop yarn made of a synthetic fiber multifilament yarn subjected to a crimping process described in Japanese Patent No. 9418 has been proposed. These are synthetic fiber multifilament yarns that have been crimped, have bulkiness, and have good dryness after washing, durability to washing, and wiping off dirt and sand. Since it has no fluff like cotton that adheres cotton shavings to it, it has a drawback that the ability to wipe cotton shavings is poor. In addition, although cotton dust sometimes adhered to the monofilament part at the tip of the cut yarn, it is said that the yarn is entangled with the cotton dust because it is a crimped yarn, and it is difficult to remove the cotton dust even after washing. It had drawbacks.

DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION The present invention has made various investigations to improve such conventional drawbacks. As a result, in order to improve the wiping-off property of cotton waste, fluff is provided on the surface of filament crimped yarn,
In order to attach the cotton dust to the fluff, and to easily remove the cotton dust during the washing, the fluff, that is, the short fibers on the yarn surface should be appropriately cut or fallen off during the washing, so that the mop needs to be removed. By finding that the characteristics can be satisfied, they have found that it is possible to obtain a mop which has good wipeability and washability, and also has excellent washing and drying properties and washing durability.

The material constituting the long-short composite spun yarn for mop of the present invention must be a polyamide fiber for both the multifilament yarn and the staple fiber in order to prevent recontamination during washing, and among them, nylon 6 and nylon 66 materials are preferable. good. Polyester-based or polyacrylic-based fibers are not preferable as mop yarns because they are naturally prone to redeposition. Polyamide multifilament crimped yarn has a total fiber fineness of 50.
It must be 0 denier or more. When it is less than 500 denier, bulkiness is insufficient as a mop thread,
It does not have the effect of improving the ability to wipe dirt and sand and the durability of washing, cannot withstand repeated washing for a long period of time, and since mop yarns are used in relatively thick counts, it is recommended to use fine count spun yarns. Requires a large number of spun yarns to be aligned and twisted, which is problematic in terms of cost.

The single fiber fineness of the polyamide multifilament crimped yarn is preferably 5 denier or more from the viewpoint of preventing the fiber from being cut during use. on the other hand,
When the fineness is increased, the durability of the mop yarn is improved, but the entanglement with the cotton dust attached to the filament-crimped monofilament that has been cut at the tip becomes stronger, and the removability of the cotton dust and the washability are significantly reduced. The single fiber fineness of the polyamide multifilament crimped yarn is preferably 20 denier or less.

Further, in the present invention, the crimp ratio of the above polyamide multifilament crimped yarn needs to be in the range of 10 to 30% from the viewpoint of bulkiness and crimp developability. If the crimp ratio is less than 10%, the shrinkage and crimp development of the multifilament yarn are small in the anti-twisting set treatment or the heat treatment during dyeing, the bulkiness is inferior, and the volume of the mop yarn is small. In addition to an increase in the yarn amount, the ability to wipe dirt and sand is reduced. Also,
If the crimp ratio is more than 30%, the crimp developability becomes excessive and the yarn itself becomes hard, and the crimp of the monofilament at the tip cut portion becomes large. Decrease the washability of scraps.

Next, the long-short composite spun yarn for mop of the present invention needs to contain 20 to 80% by weight of staple fibers. If the mixing ratio is less than 20% by weight, the number of fluffs due to staples is small, and the ability to remove cotton dust and the ability to wipe off dirt are poor. If it exceeds 80% by weight, the ability to wipe off cotton dust and the washability are good, but the durability as a mop thread is poor.

The single-filament fineness of the polyamide staple fiber must be 5 denier or less in order to improve the ability to wipe off cotton dust and the washability. If the monofilament fineness is more than 5 denier, the cutting strength of one monofilament is too high, the monofilament is not properly cut during washing, and fluff is provided on the surface of the filament yarn, and lint is attached to the fluff. The number of fluffs to be used is small and the cotton dust removability is poor. Above all, the single fiber fineness of the polyamide staple fiber is preferably in the range of 1 to 2 denier.

In the present invention, the staple fibers need to have a fiber length of 76 mm or less. If the fiber length exceeds 76 mm, the fiber entanglement with the multifilament yarn increases, the pull-out resistance increases, and a suitable single fiber dropout cannot be obtained during washing, resulting in poor cotton dust removability. Above all, 51 mm or less is preferable. On the other hand, it is preferably 30 mm or more from the viewpoint of forming a entanglement with the multifilament yarn, preventing falling off, and improving durability.

It is important that the long-short composite spun yarn for mop of the present invention has a yarn form in which the above-mentioned polyamide multifilament crimped yarn is wound with the above-mentioned polyamide staple fiber in a true twist shape. A staple fiber is wound around the outer layer of a multifilament crimped yarn in a real twist shape, whereby staple fibers are arranged in multiple layers and have bulkiness, and the yarn surface is covered with many fluffs with staple fibers. With the structure, short fiber fluff can be taken out and cotton dust can be removed, and at the same time, the excellent washability after practical use can be exhibited. In the case where filament and staple are simply spun and twisted, the filament yarn appears on the yarn surface in the same proportion as short fibers, so the short fiber fluff necessary for withdrawal is extremely reduced and it is practically used as a mop yarn. Lacks sex. Further, since such a yarn does not sufficiently form the entanglement between the filament and the staple, the filament and the staple are separated from each other in practical use, and thus the durability and the quality are inferior. Next, a method for producing the long-short composite spun yarn for mop of the present invention will be described.

In Comparative Example 1, the spinning count is cotton, which is 1.87 S and the number of twists is 2.73 T / inch (twist coefficient K = 2).
Examples of those using 100% by weight of staples and Comparative Example 4 using 100% by weight of filaments. The filament of 100% by weight (Comparative Example 4) is obtained by spinning 6 of the above filaments without staple side. Further, the staple blended spinning rate of 10% by weight (Comparative Example 2) is a composite of the above 5 filaments and 500 denier staple. Two of these composite yarns are put together, twisted on them, and a mop for cleaning is created by implanting them on the base fabric. 20 panelists actually perform a floor cleaning test to wipe off cotton dust and dirt and sand. Was evaluated.

In the case where the staple fiber length is not less than 76 mm (Comparative Example 6), the fiber entanglement with the multifilament yarn is increased, the pull-out resistance is increased, and an appropriate single fiber dropout cannot be obtained during washing, resulting in a washable property. It was extremely inferior. Even if the fiber length was 76 mm or less, Comparative Example 5 in which the denier of the short fiber was 6 denier was inferior in washability.

Comparative Examples 9 to 10 Composite yarns using a multifilament yarn having a crimping rate of 8% (Comparative Example 9) and a crimping rate of 33% in place of the polyamide multifilament yarn having a crimping rate of 23% in Example 5. Was prepared, a mop was prepared using the yarn, and the same practical evaluation as in Example 1 was performed. The results are shown in Table 2. When the crimping ratio of the multifilament yarn was 8%, the wiping-off property for earth and sand was poor. Further, when the crimping rate was 33%, the soil-wipeability was good, but cotton waste was firmly entangled with the crimped portion during washing and was inferior in washability.
