Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.(A)(i)従来のセルロース繊維及び(ii)水媒介性結合剤を約0. 1 − 約6重量%含む少なくとも1つの第一プライ; (B)(i)化学的に繊維内で架橋された嵩高いセルロース繊維及び(ii)水 媒介性結合剤を約0.1 − 約6重量%含む少なくとも1つの第二プライ を含むマルチプライペーパーボード。 2.該ペーパーボードが2つの外部プライと少なくとも1つの中間プライを有 し、及び該外部プライが該第一プライを含み、該少なくとも1つの中間プライが 該第二プライを含む請求項1記載のペーパーボード。 3.水媒介性結合剤がアニオン性又は非イオン性である請求項1又は2記載の ペーパーボード。 4.水媒介性結合剤を、澱粉、改質澱粉、ポリビニルアルコール、ポリビニル アセテート、ポリエチレン/アクリル酸コポリマー、アクリル酸ポリマー、ポリ アクリレート、ポリアクリルアミド、ポリアミン、グアーガム、酸化ポリエチレ ン、ポリビニルクロリド、ポリビニルクロリド/アクリル酸コポリマー、アクリ ロニトリル/ブタジエン/スチレンコポリマー及びポリアクリロニトリルから成 る群より選択する請求項1又は2記載のペーパーボード。 5.結合剤を、澱粉及び改質澱粉から成る群より選択する請求項1又は2記載 のペーパーボード。 6.結合剤が、ポリビニルアルコールである請求項1又は2記載のペーパーボ ード。 7.組成物が、水媒介性結合剤を約0.25重量% − 約5重量%含む請求項 1又は2記載のペーパーボード。 8.架橋剤を、メチル化尿素、メチル化環状尿素、メチル化低級アルキル置換 尿素、ジヒドロキシ環状尿素、メチル化ジヒドロキシ環状尿素、及びそれらの混 合物から成る尿素誘導体から成る群より選択する請求項1又は2記載のペーパー ボード。 9.架橋剤を、ジメチロール尿素、ジメチロールジヒドロキシエチレン尿素、 ジヒドロキシエチレン尿素、ジメチロールエチレン尿素、及び4,5−ジヒドロ キシ−1,3−ジメチル−2−イミダゾリジノンから成る群より選択する請求項 1又は2記載のペーパーボード。 10.架橋剤が、ポリカルボン酸である請求項1又は2記載のペーパーボード 。 11.架橋剤を、クエン酸、酒石酸、リンゴ酸、グルタル酸、シトラコン酸、 及びそれらの混合物から成る群より選択する請求項1又は2記載のペーパーボー ド。 12.ポリ(アクリル酸)、ポリ(メタクリル酸)、ポリ(マレイン酸)、ポ リ(メチルビニルエーテル・コ・マレエート)コポリマー、ポリ(メチルビニル エーテル・コ・イタコネート)コポリマー、マレイン酸、イタコン酸、及びタル トレートモノ琥珀酸から成る群より選択する請求項1又は2記載のペーパーボー ド。 13.該第二プライが、更に、従来の繊維組成を約5重量% − 約99.5重 量%含む請求項1又は2記載のペーパーボード。 14.該第二プライが、更に、従来の繊維組成を少なくとも約80重量%含む 請求項1又は2記載のペーパーボード。 15.該第二プライが、更に、従来の繊維組成を少なくとも約90重量%含む 請求項1又は2記載のペーパーボード。 16.隣接繊維が、接触していて、複数の繊維交差点を作り、該水媒介性結合 剤の大部分が、繊維・繊維交差点に存在している請求項1又は2記載のペーパー ボード。 17.該第二プライが、1cm3/g − 約50cm3/gの嵩を有する請求項1又は2 記載のペーパーボード。 18.該第二プライが、約3cm3/g未満の嵩を有する請求項1又は2記載のペ ーパーボード。 19.該嵩高い繊維を、剥離剤で処理したパルプから誘導した請求項1又は2 記載のペーパーボード。 20.該嵩高い繊維を、個別化する請求項1又は2記載のペーパーボード。 21.該第一プライが、該嵩高い繊維を5重量%以下含む請求項1又は2記載 のペーパーボード。 22.該第一プライ中にある該架橋剤が、該第二プライ中にあるものと同じで ある請求項21記載のペーパーボード。 23.第一プライを作る工程; 第二プライを作る工程; 該プライを組み合わせてマルチプライ構造とする工程; 該プライの1つは従来のセルロース繊維を含む; 該プライの他のプライが化学的に繊維内で架橋された嵩高いセルロース繊維を含 む; 該プライが更にその中に混和された水媒介性結合剤を約0.1 − 6重量%有す る;及び 該組み合わされたプライを乾燥させて、マルチプライペーパーボードを作る工程 を含むマルチプライペーパーボードを製造する方法。 24.第三プライを作る工程; 該マルチプライ構造中にある該プライの1つが他の2つのプライの間にある; 該1つのプライが該嵩高い繊維を含む; 該他の2つのプライが従来のパルプ繊維を含む を更に含む請求項23記載の方法。 25.水媒介性結合剤が、アニオン性又は非イオン性である請求項23又は2 4記載の方法。 26.水媒介性結合剤を、澱粉、改質澱粉、ポリビニルアルコール、ポリビニ ルアセテート、ポリエチレン/アクリル酸コポリマー、アクリル酸ポリマー、ポ リアクリレート、ポリアクリルアミド、ポリアミン、グアーガム、酸化ポリエチ レン、ポリビニルクロリド、ポリビニルクロリド/アクリル酸コポリマー、アク リロニトリル/ブタジエン/スチレンコポリマー及びポリアクリロニトリルから 成る群より選択する請求項23又は24記載の方法。 27.結合剤を、澱粉及び改質澱粉から成る群より選択する請求項23又は2 4記載の方法。 28.結合剤が、ポリビニルアルコールである請求項23又は24記載の方法 。 29.水媒介性結合剤を、繊維を約0.25重量% − 約5重量%混和させる のに十分な量で加える請求項23又は24記載の方法。 30.架橋剤を、メチル化尿素、メチル化環状尿素、メチル化低級アルキル置 換尿素、ジヒドロキシ環状尿素、メチル化ジヒドロキシ環状尿素、及びそれらの 混合物から成る尿素誘導体から成る群より選択する請求項23又は24記載の方 法。 31.架橋剤を、ジメチロール尿素、ジメチロールジヒドロキシエチレン尿素 、ジヒドロキシエチレン尿素、ジメチロールエチレン尿素、4,5−ジヒドロキ シ−1,3−ジメチル−2−イミダゾリジノン、及びそれらの混合物から成る群 より選択する請求項23又は24記載の方法。 32.架橋剤が、ポリカルボン酸である請求項23又は24記載の方法。 33.架橋剤を、クエン酸、酒石酸、リンゴ酸、琥珀酸、グルタル酸、シトラ コン酸、及びそれらの混合物から成る群より選択する請求項23又は24記載の 方法。 34.架橋剤を、ポリ(アクリル酸)、ポリ(メタクリル酸)、ポリ(マレイ ン酸)、ポリ(メチルビニルエーテル・コ・マレエート)コポリマー、ポリ(メ チルビニルエーテル・コ・イタコネート)コポリマー、マレイン酸、イタコン酸 、及びタルトレートモノ琥珀酸、及びそれらの混合物から成る群より選択する請 求項23又は24記載の方法。 35.該嵩高い繊維プライが、従来の繊維組成を約5重量% − 約99.5重 量%含む請求項23又は24記載の方法。 36.該嵩高い繊維プライが、従来の繊維組成を少なくとも約80重量%含む 請求項23又は24記載の方法。 37.該嵩高い繊維プライが、従来の繊維組成を少なくとも約90重量%含む 請求項23又は24記載の方法。 38.隣接繊維が、接触していて、複数の繊維交差点を作り、該水媒介性結合 剤の大部分が、繊維・繊維交差点に存在している請求項23又は24記載の方法 。 39.該嵩高い繊維プライが、1cm3/g − 約50cm3/gの嵩を有する請求項2 3又は24記載の方法。 40.該嵩高い繊維プライが、約3cm3/g未満の嵩を有する請求項23又は2 4記載の方法。 41.該嵩高い繊維を、剥離剤で処理したパルプから誘導した請求項23又は 24記載の方法。 42.該嵩高い繊維を、個別化する請求項23又は24記載の方法。 43.該従来の繊維プライが、該嵩高い繊維を5重量%以下含む請求項23又 は24記載の方法。 44.該従来の単数又は複数の繊維プライ中にある該架橋剤が、該嵩高い繊維 プライ中にあるものと同じである請求項23又は24記載の方法。
