Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.食品内の生体を不活性化する方法において、 (a)食品を第1電極に接触させ、 (b)指定の時間周期中に第1電極に電流信号を付与し、この電流信号は第1 電極に不活性化電荷を蓄積し、この不活性化電荷により生じる電界は、電界強度 が少なくとも5,000V/cmであって、食品を通過して生体を不活性化し、 そして (c)放電周期中に第1電極から実質的に全ての残留電荷を除去し、この残留 電荷は、上記指定時間周期の後に第1電極に残留するものであり、これにより、 放電周期の後には第1電極にほぼゼロの正味電荷が供給されることを特徴とする 方法。 2.(d)上記段階(b)及び(c)を繰り返す請求項1に記載の方法。 3.上記段階(b)は、上記電流信号を上記第1電極に上記指定の時間周期中 付与することを含み、上記電流信号は、上記第1電極における電気的な二重層を 規定の電圧まで荷電させ、この規定の電圧は、上記食品内の規定の反応材料種の 反応電圧を、規定のスレッシュホールド時間以上越えないものである請求項1に 記載の方法。 4.上記段階(b)は、上記電流信号を上記第1電極に上記指定の時間周期中 付与することを含み、上記電流信号は、上記第1電極における第1の電気的二重 層を規定の電圧まで荷電させ、この規定の電圧は、上記食品内の規定の反応材料 種の反応電圧を越えないものであり、これにより、上記食品内の規定の反応材料 種の電気化学的反応を実質的に防止する請求項1に記載の方法。 5.上記段階(b)は、上記電流信号を上記第1電極に上記指定の時間周期中 付与することを含み、上記指定の時間周期は、次のように定められ、 但し、τは、上記指定の時間周期であり、ρは、上記食品の電気抵抗率であり、 Eは、上記電界の電界強度であり、Cdは、上記第1の電気的二重層の単位面積 当たりの第1キャパシタンスであって、これは、第2の電気的二重層の単位面積 当たりの第2キャパシタンスと直列であり、この第2の電気的二重層は第2電極 にあり、そしてVRは、上記規定の反応材料種の上記反応電圧である請求項4に 記載の方法。 6.食品内の生体を不活性化する装置において、 電極に接続された電流発生器を備え、この電流発生器は、指定の時間周期中に 少なくとも1つの電流パルスを電極へ供給し、少なくとも1つの電流パルスは、 少なくとも1つの電荷を定め、少なくとも1つの電流パルスから生じる電界は、 少なくとも5,000V/cmの電界強度を有し、少なくとも1つの電荷の供給 に応答して食品を通過し、そしてその生体を不活性化し、 指定の時間周期中に電極にゼロ化電荷を供給する電荷ゼロ化手段を備え、この ゼロ化電荷は、上記少なくとも1つの電荷とあいまって、上記指定の時間周期内 に電極にほぼゼロの正味電荷を供給させることを特徴とする装置。 7.上記電荷ゼロ化手段は、ゼロ化周期中にバイアス電流を供給するためのバ イアス電源手段を備え、バイアス電流とゼロ化周期が上記ゼロ化電荷を定める請 求項6に記載の装置。 8.上記電荷ゼロ化手段は、トランスコンダクタンス関数G(s)を有する受 動的回路手段を備え、但し、sは一般化された周波数であり、そしてG(0)は ほぼ0である請求項6に記載の装置。 9.上記電荷ゼロ化手段は、スイッチングデバイスが開状態をとるのに応答し て上記電流発生器により荷電されそしてスイッチングデバイスが閉状態をとるの に応答して放電されるパルス形成ネットワーク手段を備え、このパルス形成ネッ トワーク手段は、これが放電するときに上記少なくとも1つの電荷を供給し、そ してこれが充電するときに上記ゼロ化電荷を供給するためのものである請求項8 に記載の装置。 10.上記電荷ゼロ化手段は、結合キャパシタ手段を備え、この結合キャパシ タ手段は、これを通して上記少なくとも1つの電荷が上記電極に供給されるのに 応答して上記少なくとも1つの電荷で充電され、そして更に、上記結合キャパシ タ手段から上記少なくとも1つの電荷を放電することにより上記電極に上記ゼロ 化電荷を供給するための放電素子手段を備えた請求項8に記載の装置。 11.上記電荷ゼロ化手段は、上記少なくとも1つの電荷が上記電極に供給さ れるのに応答して拡張する磁界を発生しそして該磁界の崩壊に応答して上記ゼロ 化電荷を発生するための分路インダクタ手段を備えた請求項8に記載の装置。 12.上記電荷ゼロ化手段は、上記少なくとも1つの電荷が上記電極に供給さ れるのに応答して磁界を拡張させそして該磁界の崩壊に応答して上記ゼロ化電荷 を発生するためのパルス変成器手段を備えた請求項8に記載の装置。
