Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.表面の光沢を増加させる方法であって、表面の光沢を増加させるのに十分 な時間を要して多数の微小研磨剤入り繊維を含んでなる研磨製品を表面に摩擦接 触させることを含んでなり、前記繊維の各々が、その中に実質的に分散され、接 着され、及び包み込まれた研磨剤粒子を有する熱可塑性ポリマーを有するもので あって、 i)約0.1 〜約60マイクロメートルの範囲にわたる平均粒度を有する研磨剤粒 子: を含んでなり、 ii)各繊維が、長さ及び長さ方向に垂直な方向に横断面を有し、前記横断面が 約0.02〜約0.5mm の範囲にわたる主軸長を有する、方法。 2.前記研磨剤粒子が約3 〜約40マイクロメートルの範囲にわたる平均粒度を 有する請求項1記載の方法。 3.前記研磨剤粒子が約3 〜約10マイクロメートルの範囲にわたる平均粒度を 有する請求項1記載の方法。 4.前記主軸長が約0.25〜約0.4 ミリメートルの範囲にわたる請求項1記載の 方法。 5.前記熱可塑性ポリマーが、ポリアミド、ポリプロピレン、ポリエステル、 及び熱可塑性エラストマーからなる群より選ばれる、請求項1記載の方法。 6.研磨剤粒子が前記繊維の重量に基づいて約10〜約30重量%にわたる範囲で 存在する請求項1記載の方法。 7.前記製品が、前記微小研磨剤入り繊維を含んでなる嵩高な目の荒い3次元 的不織布研磨製品である請求項1記載の方法。 8.前記繊維の主軸長が約0.025 〜約0.4 ミリメートルの範囲に わたり、そして前記研磨剤粒子の平均粒度が約1 〜約30マイクロメートルの範囲 にわたる、請求項7記載の方法。 9.前記繊維の主軸長が約0.05〜約0.1 ミリメートルの範囲にわたり、前記研 磨剤粒子の平均粒度が約3 〜約10マイクロメートルの範囲にわたり、そして熱可 塑性ポリマーがポリエチレンテレフタレートである、請求項8記載の方法。 10.研磨製品が、基材に取り付けられた前記微小研磨剤入り繊維の多数のタフ トを含んでなるタフトのある研磨製品である、請求項1記載の方法。 11.微小充填剤入り繊維の主軸長が約0.05〜約0.1 ミリメートルの範囲にわた り、前記研磨剤粒子の平均粒度が約1 〜約10マイクロメートルの範囲にわたり、 そして熱可塑性ポリマーがポリエチレンテレフタレートである、請求項10記載の 方法。 12.前記研磨製品が第1及び第2末端を有する多数の微小研磨剤入り繊維を含 んでなり、前記第1末端が基材に固定されている、請求項1記載の方法。 13.微小充填剤入り繊維の主軸長が約0.1 〜約0.5 ミリメートルの範囲にわた り、そして前記研磨剤粒子の平均粒度が約0.1 〜約60マイクロメートルの範囲に わたる、請求項12記載の方法。 14.前記研磨剤粒子の平均粒度が約15〜40マイクロメートルの範囲にわたり、 そして熱可塑性ポリマーがナイロン6,12である、請求項13記載の方法。 15.表面から望ましくない物質を除去する方法であって、表面から望ましくな い物質を除去するのに十分な時間を要して多数の微小研磨剤入り繊維を含んでな る研磨製品を表面に摩擦接触させることを含んでなり、前記繊維の各々が、その 中に実質的に分散され、接着され、及び包み込まれた研磨剤粒子を有する熱可塑 性ポリマーを 有するものであって、 i)約0.1 〜約60マイクロメートルの範囲にわたる平均粒度を有する研磨剤粒 子; を含んでなり、 ii)各繊維が、長さ及び長さ方向に垂直な横断面を有し、前記横断面が約0.02 〜約0.5 ミリメートルの範囲にわたる主軸長を有する、方法。 16.前記研磨剤粒子が約3 〜約40マイクロメートルの範囲にわたる平均粒度を 有する請求項15記載の方法。 17.前記研磨剤粒子が約3 〜約10マイクロメートルの範囲にわたる平均粒度を 有する請求項15記載の方法。 18.前記主軸長が約0.25〜約0.4 ミリメートルの範囲にわたる請求項15記載の 方法。 19.前記熱可塑性ポリマーが、ポリアミド、ポリプロピレン、ポリエステル、 及び熱可塑性エラストマーからなる群より選ばれる、請求項15記載の方法。 20.研磨剤粒子が前記繊維の重量に基づいて約10〜約30重量%にわたる範囲で 存在する請求項15記載の方法。 21.前記製品が、前記微小研磨剤入り繊維を含んでなる嵩高な目の荒い3次元 的不織布研磨製品である、請求項15記載の方法。 22.前記繊維の主軸長が約0.025 〜約0.40ミリメートルの範囲にわたり、そし て前記研磨剤粒子の平均粒度が約1 〜約30マイクロメートルの範囲にわたる、請 求項21記載の方法。 23.前記繊維の主軸長が約0.05〜約0.1 ミリメートルの範囲にわたり、前記研 磨剤粒子の平均粒度が約3 〜約10マイクロメートルの範囲にわたり、そして熱可 塑性ポリマーがポリエチレンテレフタレートである、請求項22記載の方法。 24.研磨剤粒子が、基材に固定された多数の微小研磨剤入り繊維のタフトを含 んでなるタフトのある研磨製品である、請求項15記載の方法。 25.微小研磨剤入り繊維の主軸長が約0.05〜約0.1 ミリメートルの範囲にわた り、前記研磨剤粒子の平均粒度が約1 〜約10マイクロメートルの範囲にわたり、 そして熱可塑性ポリマーがポリエチレンテレフタレートである、請求項24記載の 方法。 26.前記研磨製品が、第1及び第2末端を有する多数の微小研磨剤入り繊維を 含んでなり、前記第1末端が基材に固定されている、請求項15記載の方法。 27.微小研磨剤入り繊維の主軸長が約0.1 〜約0.5 ミリメートルの範囲にわた り、そして前記研磨剤粒子の平均粒度が約0.1 〜約60マイクロメートルの範囲に わたる、請求項26記載の方法。 28.前記研磨剤粒子の平均粒度が約15〜約45マイクロメートルの範囲にわたり 、そして熱可塑性ポリマーがナイロン6,12である、請求項27記載の方法。 29.銅表面から酸化物のスケールを除去する方法であって、銅表面から望まし くない物質を除去するのに十分な時間を要して銅表面に研磨製品を摩擦接触させ ることを含んでなり、前記製品が第1及び第2末端を有する多数の微小研磨剤入 りポリアミド繊維を含んでなり、前記第1末端がポリウレタン基材に固定されて おり、前記繊維の各々が、その中に実質的に分散され、接着され、及び包み込ま れた炭化ケイ素研磨剤粒子を有し、前記研磨剤粒子が約15〜約45マイクロメート ルの範囲にわたる平均粒度を有し、そして各繊維が約0.1 〜約0.5 ミリメートル の範囲にわたる主軸長を有する、方法。 30.木表面の装飾用切削部及び溝を変形させずに装飾用切削部及び溝から木粉 を除去する方法であって、木表面の装飾用切削部及び 溝から木粉を除去するのに十分な時間を要して装飾用切削部及び溝に研磨製品を 摩擦接触させることを含んでなり、前記製品が第1及び第2末端を有する多数の 微小研磨剤入りポリアミド繊維を含んでなり、前記第1末端がポリウレタン基材 に固定されており、前記繊維の各々が、その中に実質的に分散され、接着され、 及び包み込まれた炭化ケイ素研磨剤粒子を有し、前記研磨剤粒子が約15〜約45マ イクロメートルの範囲にわたる平均粒度を有し、そして各繊維が約0.1 〜約0.5 ミリメートルの範囲にわたる主軸長を有する、方法。 31.複雑な金属製鋳造品を所望の形状を変形させずに金型から取り出した後に 清浄にし、且つ磨く方法であって、前記鋳造品を清浄にし、且つ磨くのに十分な 時間を要して前記金属鋳造品に研磨製品を摩擦接触させることを含んでなり、前 記研磨製品が第1及び第2末端を有する多数の微小研磨剤入りポリアミド繊維を 含んでなり、前記第1末端がポリウレタン基材に固定されており、前記繊維の各 々が、その中に実質的に分散され、接着され、及び包み込まれた炭化ケイ素研磨 剤粒子を有し、前記研磨剤粒子が約15〜約45マイクロメートルの範囲にわたる平 均粒度を有し、そして各繊維が約0.1 〜約0.5 ミリメートルの範囲にわたる主軸 長を有する、方法。 32.金属−架橋アクリレート床仕上材の表面の光沢を増加させる方法であって 、前記表面の光沢を増加させるのに十分な時間を要して多数の微小研磨剤入り繊 維を含んでなる研磨製品を前記床仕上材に摩擦接触させることを含んでなり、前 記繊維の各々が、その中に実質的に分散され、接着され、及び包み込まれた研磨 剤粒子を有するポリエチレンテレフタレートを含んでなり、前記繊維が約0.1 マ イクロメートル〜約60マイクロメートルの平均粒度を有する研磨剤粒子を含んで なり、そして前記繊維の各々が約0.1 〜約0.5 ミリメートルの範囲にわたる主軸 長を有し、前記表面若しくは前記製品の いずれか又はその両方にバフ研磨剤を塗布することを含む、方法。
