Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.エキビョウ菌(Phytophthora)に対する遺伝的耐性を含むカ タランタス(Catharanthus)種子。 2.種子がフィトフトラ・パラシチカ(Phytophthora para sitica)に対する耐性に関する優性対立遺伝子を含む、請求項1に記載の カタランタス種子。 3.請求項1に記載の種子を生育させることにより生産されるカタランタス植 物。 4.請求項3に記載の植物の花粉。 5.請求項3に記載の植物の胚珠。 6.植物がエキビョウ菌に対する遺伝的耐性を含む、請求項3に記載の植物の 再生可能な細胞を含む組織培養物。 7.第1の親カタランタス植物を第2の親カタランタス植物と交配し、得られ たF1雑種カタランタス種子を収穫し、その際第1または第2の親カタランタス 植物が請求項3に記載のカタランタス植物であることを含む、F1雑種カタラン タス種子の生産方法。 8.請求項7に記載の雑種カタランタス種子を生育させることにより生産され る第1世代(F1)雑種カタランタス植物。 9.約2.0%以上の全アルカロイド含量を有するカタランタス種子。 10.全アルカロイド含量が約2.0−約6.5%である、請求項9に記載の カタランタス種子。 11.約2.0%以上の全アルカロイド含量を有する、請求項3に記載のカタ ランタス植物。 12.全アルカロイド含量が約2.0−約6.5%である、請求項11に記載 のカタランタス植物。 13.約2.0%以上の全アルカロイド含量を有するカタランタス植物の実質 的に均一な集合体に由来するカタランタス植物製品。 14.全アルカロイド含量が約2.0−約6.5%である、請求項13に記載 のカタランタス植物の実質的に均一な集合体に由来するカタランタス植物製品。 15.約2.0%以上の全アルカロイド含量を有するカタランタス植物の実質 的に均一な集合体からなるカタランタス変種。 16.全アルカロイド含量が約2.0−約6.5%である、請求項15に記載 のカタランタス植物の実質的に均一な集合体からなるカタランタス変種。 17.約2.0%以上の全アルカロイド含量を有するニチニチソウ種子の生産 方法であって: a)エキビョウ菌に対する遺伝的耐性を含むニチニチソウ遺伝子型の種子、お よび他のニチニチソウ遺伝子型の種子を、受粉可能な近さにまき; b)それらの種子から生じたニチニチソウ植物をそれらの植物が花をつけるま で栽培し; c)いずれか一方のニチニチソウ遺伝子型の植物の雄花を除雄し; d)それらのニチニチソウ遺伝子型間で他家受粉させ;そして e)除雄されたニチニチソウ系続の植物に形成された種子を収穫する 工程を含む方法。 18.請求項17に記載の雑種ニチニチソウ種子を生育させることにより生産 される第1世代(F1)雑種ニチニチソウ植物。 19.約2.0%以上の全アルカロイド含量を有するF1雑種ニチニチソウ植 物。 20.ATCC寄託番号75636で寄託された生存可能なカタランタス種子 、ならびに該種子から生育した植物および後続世代、ならびに寄託された種子か らエキビョウ菌耐性対立遺伝子が伝達されたカタランタス種子および植物または その後続世代。 21.遺伝的エキビョウ菌耐性をカタランタスから他の種へ伝達する方法であ って: a)遺伝的エキビョウ菌耐性遺伝子を分離し; b)遺伝的エキビョウ菌耐性遺伝子をプロモーターと結合させ;そして c)遺伝的エキビョウ菌耐性遺伝子を形質転換法により他の種へ挿入する 工程を含む方法。 22.第1のニチニチソウ遺伝子型を第2のニチニチソウ遺伝子型と交配し、 それらの遺伝子型のうち少なくとも一方は約2.0%以上の全アルカロイド含量 を有するものである、約2.0%以上の全アルカロイド含量を有するニチニチソ ウ植物の開発方法。
