Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 車両の乗客安全装置の作動を制御して前記車両内に位置する乗客を損傷に 対して保護するシステムであって、該システムは車両加速度情報および車両乗客 位置情報から成るグループからの情報から得られた第1の尺度に応答し、 前記情報を受け取る手段と、 前記情報を記憶して複数の記憶値を提供する手段と、 第1および第2の前記記憶値に応答して第1の前記記憶値を第2の前記記憶 値から減じて前記第1の尺度を得る手段と、 を備えているシステムにおいて、 第1の前記記憶値に応答して修正値を発生する第1の手段であって、前記修 正値は前記第1の値の絶対値であり、前記減ずる手段は前記修正値および第2の 前記記憶値に応答して前記修正値を第2の前記記憶値から減じて前記第1の尺度 を得るものである第1の手段、 から構成されているシステム。 2. 第1の前記記憶値は第2の前記記憶値より前に受け取ったものである請求 項1に記載のシステム。 3. 第1および第2の前記記憶値は前記記憶値の、それぞれ、最低順位および 最高順位のものである請求項1に記載のシステム。 4. 車両の乗客安全装置の作動を制御し、該安全装置の作動を多分必要とする 事象の発生時に、前記車両内に 位置する乗客を損傷に対して保護する方法であって、該方法が 車両加速度情報および車両乗客位置情報から成るグループからの情報を受け 取る段階と、 前記受け取った情報を時間にわたり記憶して複数の記憶値を得る段階と、 第1の前記記憶値を第2の前記記憶値から減じて第1の差尺度を得る段階と 、 前記第1の差尺度を第1の閾値と比較する段階と、および 前記第1の差尺度が前記第1の閾値を超えるとき前記安全装置を作動させる 段階と、 から構成されている方法において、 前記減ずる段階の前に第1の前記記憶値をその絶対値を取ることにより修正 する段階、 を備えている方法。 5. 第1の前記記憶値は第2の前記記憶値より前に受け取ったものである請求 項4に記載の方法。 6. 第1および第2の前記記憶値は前記複数の記憶値の、それぞれ、最低順位 および最高順位のものである請求項4に記載の方法。 7. 車両加速度情報を受け取る前記段階は加速度センサにより発生された瞬時 車両加速度情報をサンプルする段階から成り、前記最高順位の記憶値および前記 最低順位の記憶値は前記記憶値を順位フィルタにかけるこ とにより発生される請求項6に記載の方法。 8. 前記比較段階の前に前記第1の差尺度の絶対値を取る更なる段階を備えて いる請求項6に記載の方法。 9. 車両の乗客安全装置の作動を制御し、該安全装置の作動が必要となり得る 事象の発生時に、前記車両内に位置する乗客を損傷に対して保護するのに役立つ 第1の尺度を発生する方法であって、該方法が 車両加速度情報および車両乗客位置情報から成るグループからの情報を受け 取る段階と、 前記受け取った情報を時間にわたり記憶して前記受け取った情報に対する複 数の記憶値を得る段階と、 第1の前記記憶値をその絶対値を取ることにより修正して修正値を得る段階 と、および 前記修正値を第2の前記記憶値から減じて前記第1の尺度を得る段階と、 から構成される方法。 10.第1の前記記憶値は第2の前記記憶値より前に受け取ったものである請求 項9に記載の方法。 11.第1および第2の前記記憶値は前記複数の記憶値の、それぞれ、最低順位 および最高順位のものである請求項9に記載の方法。 12.車両加速度情報を受け取る前記段階は加速度センサにより発生された瞬時 車両加速度情報をサンプルする段階から成り、前記最高順位の記憶値および前記 最低順位の記憶値は前記記憶値を順位フィルタにかけるこ とにより発生される請求項11に記載の方法。
